And another Grandson makes 5

I'm so bad about making entries.
Okay, so since the last entry my step son Nate moved in with his sister, Amber. My grand daughter Addie turned 2, her twin brothers Jack and James turned 1 several days later, and my 5th grand child Joshua was born today. He is a big boy too! Over 9 lbs, mom Jessica is doing well, got to see her today. I hope that Ayden (her son who will be 2 in September) will be a good big brother.
Christopher started soccer last fall, and his team did great this year! They made it to the playoffs, but not the final 4. I'm so proud of him, he has overcome so much this year!!
Dominic is still working on the whole potty training thing, and some days are better than others. He wakes up in the night, crying that he has to go potty, and either Chris or I try to get him into the bathroom. He's starting to sleep all night in his room, which is great, because a queen bed somehow is just not big enough anymore to co-sleep with a toddler.

New grandsons!!!

You know kids are great right? riigghhhtt... We all know that kids are a pain, however, I'm an advocate for grands...You know, grand kids! My oldest daughter Amber just had twin boys on the 2th of May. They were 6wks too early, and are still in the NICU but are so cute! Jack and John are their names. Amber and her husband are hoping that they get to take them home in the next couple of weeks. They were 4lbs 10oz and 4lbs 13oz, so they certainly weren't teeny weeny. Their big sister just turned 1 year old on the 21st of May, so next year I'll have lots of reasons to celebrate!

New job, New headaches

Well, I've officially gotten my second job now. I'm moonlighting (in the daytime) as a waitress at Perkins on 33rd Ave on the weekends. And still working my 9-5 "bread-n-butter" job Mon-Fri. I really get tired of having more and more hurdles put in my way at Linweld. It seems like my boss there really wants me to get into some sort of trouble so that he is justified in firing me. Can't make me quit, though. Can't get unemployment that way...I do like my job at Perkins though. I forgot how much fun it is to have that kind of immediate sense of a job well done, and knowing exactly what to do to make people happy...or not!

What to say? I am starting on a new pathway here. I have never blogged before, not even written in a diary since my brother used to sneak into my room and read it, and then tell his friends about the crushes on them I had...about 20years. You will have to be patient with me as I learn the ropes of this. This is the corn that my son Christopher was given at the end of his 3rd grade year to plant for an Iowa's Tallest Corn contest. We got it in May and didn't get around to planting it until July, so needless to say, the sweet corn ain't going to grow in my front yard this year.
